Dr. Duane R. Sprau
Dr. Duane Sprau is a lifetime resident of the Back Mountain area, where he attended Dallas High School. He received his undergraduate degree in 2003 from the Pennsylvania State University. In 2010 he graduated Cum Laude from Temple University’s Maurice H. Kornberg School of Dentistry. Dr. Sprau completed his general residency at the VA Hospital in Wilkes-Barre in 2011.
He is an active member of the American Dental Association, Luzerne County Dental Society and the Academy of General Dentistry. He participates in continuing education courses on a regular basis covering a variety of current procedures.
Dr. Sprau is trained in performing root canals, extractions, crowns, bridges, veneers, Invisalign and other general and cosmetic dentistry procedures.
Outside of work, Dr. Sprau is an avid Penn State Football and Philadelphia Phillies fan. He enjoys staying active, collecting records and spending time with family.
Meet Mary
Mary McGuire is our Office Manager/Extended Function Dental Assistant extraordinaire/jack of all trades. 30 years ago Mary started her dental journey with Clements Dentistry, then as it transitioned to Spau and Clements Dentistry and now Sprau Dental - and it's still going strong!
To say Mary loves her work, work family and patients would be an understatement. She has taken on a motherly role with the staff and doctors 
. With every day brings new challenges at Sprau Dental and every day joy with her work.
Mary loves her Back Mountain life with her doggies and occasionally Mary likes to get out and pretend to be the next LPGA star! Mary feels that being at Sprau Dental with her staff and patients is truly the best xoxo!
Meet Peg
Peg Jesse has worked at in dentistry for 40 years, 25 of those years at Dr. Clements' Family Dentistry and Sprau Dental as the front desk receptionist.
Peg grew up in the Back Mountain where she attended Gate of Heaven grade school and graduated Central Catholic High School in 1971. Peg has been married to her husband Ron for 41 years and they have 3 beautiful children and 4 grandchildren.
Peg feels that the fact she has been with us the past 25 years speaks for itself. She really feels like this is her home away from home!
Meet Michelle
I have worked at Sprau and Clements Dentistry since 2012. My husband Patrick I have 2 children. David who commissions from ROTC at Duquesne University in Maryland and plans to go to Law school. Lauren who is a sophomore at Hartford University studying Audio Engineering. We reside in the Back Mountain with our 4 fur babies! Our Boxer/Spaniel mix Jax and 3 Chihuahuas. Sugar, Gucci and Bear.
Meet Sherri
My name is Sherri Williams. I have been an Expanded Function Dental Assistant at Clements' Dentistry for 21 wonderful years! I am happily married for 21 years with two wonderful children. I am a graduate of Wyoming Valley West and LCCC.
I love where I work; not many people could say that. I am truly blessed each day. I spend my day with my work family and then I get to go home to my wonderful family.
Thank you Dr. Clements and Dr. Sprau for making work not feel like "work."
Meet Cindy
Cindy has enjoyed being a dental assistant at Clements Dentistry for the past 14 years!
Cindy has lived in the Back Mountain for a majority of her life. She's been married to her wonderful husband for 28 years and they have 1 son.
Cindy is a sports fanatic. She is an avid fan of LSU football, Red Sox baseball and Steelers football. On her downtime she loves to read and relax.
Meet Jessica
Jessica has been a dental hygienist for the past 13 years at Clements Dentistry.
Jess grew up in Dallas. She graduated from Dallas High School and LCCC as a dental hygienist.
Jess lives in Harvey's Lake with her husband and 2 children. They also have an English setter named Kelsey.
Meet Kim
Kim has been a dental hygienest for 26 years, 18 of which have been with Clements Dentistry.
Kim is happily married with 2 children and their wonderful dog Chloe.
Kim enjoys her work very much and hopes to serve our patients for many more years to come!
Meet Laura
My name is Laura Arnold.
I started as a patient of Dr. Clements. I have happily worked for him for 15 years.
I am a Dallas graduate. I received my dental hygiene education from LCCC. My husband, Bill, of 25 years and I have have two children. Alexis is 19 years old and Jacob is 16 years old. We reside in Franklin Township.
I look forward to working with Dr. Clements, Dr. Sprau and the girls way into the future.
Meet Joan
I celebrated my 25th year of practicing hygiene with Dr. Clements on July 31st, 2012.
Many times I look at my posessions and say a quiet thank you for having a great boss that has allowed me to achieve these goals.
Living less than 10 minutes from work is wonderful and I get to see so many of my patients out of the office. It is great to catch up between their recare appointments.
My husband, Mike, is a P&G employee and we will celebrate our 29th year of marriage in November. My daughter, Miranda, graduated from Wilkes Summa Cum Laude with a BA in English.
Also sharing my home are six dogs. A Westie, a Collie, 2 English Cockers and 2 Italian Water Dog.
Since I have such a passion for dogs, it has caused me to become a certified dog groomer for which I practice one day a week.
Mary and I refer to our schedules as our guest list and that is how we hope all our patients feel when they come to our office.
Meet Susie
Susie is proud to say she has worked for Clements Dentistry for the past 30 years as an Expanded Function Dental Assistant!
Susie loves her job and co-workers. She thinks of the office as her home and everyone as family!
Susie has 2 wonderful children whom she adores, a daughter and son.
She also has a dog Katy, she's the best.
Meet Cheryl
Cheryl has been a receptionist for Dr. Clements' Family Dentistry for 29 years.
Cheryl and her husband have been married for 31 years! Cheryl and her husband moved to the Poconos and despite the daily hour long drive to and from the office she couldn't imagine working anywhere else!
Meet Rachel
Hi my name is Rachel Canfield. I have been a hygienist for 20 years. I am a proud mom of my 12 year old son Benjamin. I started my career with Dr. Scott and Dr. Clements in 1997. I relocated out of the area from 1999-2011. Upon returning to the area I have had the opportunity to return to this fantastic office. I look forward to working with Dr. Clements again and also Dr. Sprau. to serve our wonderful patients for many years to come!!! Oh and Mary made me add that I also have two other children in the form of big loving Golden retrievers!
Meet Davalyn
Davalyn started working as a dental hygienist at our office in October 2016. She graduated from Lake Lehman in 2006 and Fortis Institute in 2016 with degree in dental hygiene and her local anesthesia license. Davalyn and her husband Mike live in the back Mountain with their adorable dachshund Lionel and three kitties. We are thrilled to have her in our happy dental family!
